Billie Ann Eagle

1935 - 2020

Billie Ann Eagle, 85, of Kannapolis, passed away, Monday, December 28, 2020 at The Citadel of Salisbury. Billie was born August 28, 1935 in Royston, GA to the late Ruth Addison Armstrong. She was preceded in death by her first husband Reid Hampton and also her second husband Charles Eagle. Those left to cherish her memory two daughters Donna Smith (Danny) of Mooresville, Reidette Shepard (Tom) of Oak Island, NC, one son, Jay Hampton of Salisbury, three grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren. Billie was loved by her three children, Reidette, Donna, and Jay. Mrs. Eagle “Nanny” was a loving and doting grandmother to Christy, Wesley, and Kara. Her great grandchildren were blessed to have been in her life, and she was very proud of all of her grandchildren. 2020 proved to be a difficult year for Mrs. Eagle and her family as COVID-19 restrictions at her nursing home prevented her family from visiting her as they often did. Nanny had an infectious laugh and a strength that carried her through some difficult times. Her family will miss her immensely. A private graveside service for family will be held Monday January 4, 2021 at 11:00 AM at West Lawn Memorial Park.
