Cameron Stout Obituary
Born on May 15, 2004, in Rowan County, to William Stout and Tanya Moss, Cameron was a loving and devoted son who brought immense joy and pride to his family. Cameron was educated in the Rowan-Salisbury School System, where he was a proud 2022 graduate of Salisbury High School and afterwards, began his undergraduate studies at Pfeiffer University.
Cameron cherished being a YMCA camp counselor who brought joy and inspiration to every child he encountered. Known for his boundless energy and infectious enthusiasm, Cameron had an extraordinary ability to connect with kids, making each day at camp a memorable adventure. In addition, Cameron also worked as a basketball trainer at Shoot 360 Charlotte. Cameron's compassion and empathy made him a trusted confidant for the campers/trainees, who looked up to him as a role model. He fostered an inclusive environment where every child felt valued and supported. His leadership skills and positive attitude not only brightened the children's days but also left a lasting impact on their lives.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Reginald Moss Sr., and his paternal grandfather, Norman Lee Stout.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Tanya Moss of Salisbury; father, William Stout of Salisbury; siblings, Kayla Caldwell and Ty'Jae Stout both of Salisbury; aunt, Kelly Moss of Salisbury; uncles, Reginald “RJ” Moss of Salisbury and Antonio Houston of Japan; maternal grandmother, Yolanda Ellis of Salisbury; paternal grandmother, Valerie Stout of Salisbury; aunts, Kelly Moss, Kisha (Dadrian) Evans of Granite Quarry, Camilla Ellis of Granite Quarry, and Yolanda Ellis of Georgia; special cousin, Adrian Stockton, who Cameron described as his little brother; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Arrangements: On Sunday, May 26, 2024, the Visitation will be held at 1:30 PM and Funeral Service following at 2:30 PM. Both visitation and funeral services will be in Varick Auditorium on the campus of Livingstone College. Interment following services at Oakdale Cemetery. Rev. Dr. Derrick Anderson, Officiating and Eulogist.

My prayers are with the family. I did not know Cameron, but I am pretty sure I had met Kayla. He was a handsome young man and this tragedy I know is with great sadness. I know by reading Kayla's post he was an upstanding young man who impacted a lot of people in his short time here and he will not be forgotten. My heart is so heavy learning of Cams passing. I saw Cam at the Y as he worked with the kids. He was also my next door neighbor. Such a loss. I pray for God's loving peace during this very difficult time.

My heart aches for this family. I did not know him but am a friend and co-worker with his grandmother. In looking and listening to all the wonderful things I have found out about Cameron he was a wonderful young man. You can tell where he gets if from, as everyone in this group(family and friends) have been so nice, loving and hospitable. This young man was truly loved and will be dearly missed. I pray Gods mighty comfort on all of those who grieve this bright young man. And I pray that God will give you peace that passes all understanding. May you feel love and support.
