Carol Lentz Obituary
Maxine loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed planting flowers in her garden, relaxing in her gazebo while bird watching and volunteering at the Baptist Sharing House. She was a faithful member of Phaniels Baptist Church, where she served as Church Clerk, WMU Director, Choir member and beloved Sunday School teacher for over 50 years.
She spent her career in Respiratory Care and retired from Rowan Regional Medical Center in 2007 where she was the Manager of Respiratory Services for 26 years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Henderson Lentz, five brothers, Billy Sloop, Gary Sloop, Charlie Sloop, Michael Sloop and Tony Sloop.
Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Debbie Morgan (Chuck) of Rockwell; Son, Greg Lenta (Jill) of Swannanoa, grandchildren, Tyler (Becky), Nathan Morgan, Alyce (Brent) Sharpton. Henderson (Callie) Lentz; and six great-grandchildren.

Dr. Michael Taylor and Dr. Greg Lentz will be officiating the Service.
Visitation will be at 1:00 pm until 2:00pm at Phaniels Baptist Church Lentz Hall on Sunday, November 2, 2025 with the Service Following at 2:00 pm in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
