Cassandra Cannon Obituary
A memorial service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Kannapolis Church of Christ, where she was a member.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 pm at the church prior to the service.
Mrs. Cannon was born on February 4, 1940 in Cabarrus County to the late Robert Edward Perry and Mary Katherine Price Perry Poteat. Cassandra worked as an Office Assistant at AL Brown High School and later in the Central Office of Kannapolis City Schools.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Perry Williams and Mildred Kay Perry Miller.
Mrs. Cannon is survived by her husband of 67 years, Eugene Wayne Cannon; two sons, Jonathan “Jonny” Wayne Cannon and wife, Sarah of Raleigh and Jeffery “Jeff” Scott Cannon and wife Kelly of Granite Quarry; five grandchildren, Tyler (Jennifer), Tanner (Carson), Seth, Jesse (Kelly) and Jericho (John); and two great-grandchildren, Stockton and Maddox.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her loving caregiver, Sharon Pryor; and also her neighbor and friend, Dee Sims.
The family would also like to thank Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County for their great service and care.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Kannapolis church of Christ, 2315 Concord Lake Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083 or Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
