Daisy Morrow

Mrs. Daisy Mae Cook Morrow, 86, passed on Thursday, June 15, 2023. Born May 21, 1937 in Winnsboro, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Lonnie Cook, Sr. and Carrie Irby Cook. Educated in the public schools of Rowan County, she attended Dunbar High School, E. Spencer. She was last employed with Cone Mills as a spinner. A member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, she was a Missionary and a member of the Kitchen Committee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Lewis Morrow, Sr.; siblings, Rebecca Smith, Naomi Nixon, Margaret Gray, Lonnie Cook, Alfred Cook, Mamie Sloan and Maceo Cook. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Montressa Smith (Richard) of E. Spencer, Tammy Morrow Bost of Salisbury, Marvin Morrow, Jr. and Bridget Stinson both of Granite Quarry, Tony Morrow (Belinda) of Salisbury, Lonnie Morrow (Kimberly) of Greensboro and Anthony Morrow of Atlanta, Ga.; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Ella Cook of Granite Quarry; bonus son, Reverend Patrick Jones (Rita) of Salisbury; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Arrangements: Services will be Friday, June 23, 2023 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, Granite Quarry with Visitation at 12:30 pm and Funeral at 1:00 pm.
