Danny Thompson

Danny Lee Thompson, 58, of Rockwell, passed away Dec. 24, 2017, at his lake home in New London. Born April 3, 1959 in Stanly County, Danny was the son of the late Golda Mae Bailey Thompson and Leewood Thompson. Danny served in the US Army and was owner of T.N.T. Construction in Rockwell. Survivors include son, Bryan Christopher Thompson and fiancé Logan Thomas of Archdale; daughter, Christina Thompson St. Clair and husband Brian St. Clair of Charlotte; brother, David Thompson of Concord; sister, Frieda Foster of Landis; and one grandchild, Owen Lee Thompson. Arrangements: His Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 6, at Stanly Funeral & Cremation Care Chapel with Pastor Keith Yarnell officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., prior to the service. Stanly Funeral and Cremation Care of Albemarle is serving the Thompson family.
