I worked with Darrell at Cone Mills for quite a few years. He was a great person to have as a friend. We went fishing at the coast along with Cecil and Bob, Mike, Robert and Terry. Always fun. I'm glad to hear he got that 440 in his car. GOD bless you my friend.

We light this symbolic candle for (2)reasons: (1)to help light our friend Darrell's pathway to heaven; (2)because our prayer is that Darrell's survivors will see this symbolic candle as a lighted pathway to a joyful, bright and prosperous future. RIP my friend.

It is so hard for me to write this. From the first time I met you when I was twelve until now. You were the best man and friend that anyone could have. I will always cherish all the memories and things we shared. I laugh at a lot of them. They come up at different times. You are not suffering anymore. Everything that you have been through is now gone. Thank you so much for everything. Love you always.

I can say this here as to not belabor trying to say it at your funeral. You taught me a lot through life and I thank you for that. I don't fear snakes because of you. I can minimally work on cars because off you. This truly hurts, but, you are now at rest. I can ask why, but, I already know the answer. RIP Big Bro, we discussed this and your wishes have been done. Love you, tears flowing as I write this.
