Mr. Dennis Garwood Conner, age 69 of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at NOVANT-Rowan Regional Medical Center in Salisbury after a courageous battle with Covid-19. Born in Princeton, West Virginia, Dennis was the son of the late Garwood Conner and Maxine Brown Conner. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Mellons Conner. Dennis attended Highest Praise Family Worship Center in China Grove. Dennis spent his career working production in the cotton textile industry. He was a lover of animals, especially his dogs. In his spare time, he loved landscaping and growing beautiful flowers. He truly loved his family and the time he spent with them. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 12 years, Gwen Conner; his sons, Anthony Conner (Jodie) and Michael Conner (Rosie) and his daughter, Karen Creech (Chad). He also leaves behind his brother, Ricky Conner and sister, Loria Magarowicz, along with his grandchildren, Christian, Olivia, Amanda, Robbie, Riley and Lily Conner and Brandon Trexler (Natasha). Also surviving are one great-grandchild, Ava Trexler and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Dennis will be on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1:00 – 2:00pm at Highest Praise Family Worship Center in China Grove. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00pm officiated by Pastors Wayne Miller and Ricky Hudson. Committal Service will be immediately after at Sunset Cemetery in Kannapolis.
