Diana Michele Stephens

Diana Michele Stephens, lovingly known as “Boo,” passed away peacefully in Charlotte, North Carolina, surrounded by her family. Born on May 28, 1959, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to her father, Paul Stephens, and her mother, Minnie Maple, Diana lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Anthony Stephens, and her sisters, Pauline Faulkner, Nancy Faulkner, and Brenda Stephens Maman.

Diana furthered her education at Lincoln University and obtained an English Major Degree.

She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters, Khaleeyah Stephens-Maddox and Alondra Stephens-Heilman, and her sons, William, Rasheed, and Jameel Stephens-Maddox, as well as Jacob Stephens-Heilman. Her heart overflowed with joy for her one and only grandson, Zay'vion Stephens-Stinson, her great-grandson Keshawn Hollie II, and her five beautiful granddaughters, Shamaira Ross, Damanii Strong, Amia Jefferson, Dahlia, and Cassia Maddox, who brought endless light to her days. She is also survived by her sister, Henrietta Stephens, and a special brother-in-law, Jean-Paul Maman, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Diana's greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. She loved traveling, sharing stories, and creating memories that will continue to live on through those she loved most. Her strength, kindness, and radiant spirit touched everyone who knew her.

She will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. Though she has left this earth, her presence will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
