Doris Burris Obituary
LANDIS - Doris Eidson Burris, 76, of Landis, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Burris was born May 15, 1932, to Emanuel and Ruby Eidson.
Mrs. Burris was a member of Lakewood Baptist Church. She was employed with Thurston Motor Lines and Cannon Mills Medical Department in Kannapolis until her retirement in 1994.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Lee Burris; her son, Robert Michael Burris; two sisters, Nancy Louise Plummer and Joan Lambert.
Survivors include two sons, Galen Burris and wife Pat of China Grove, Johnny Burris of China Grove; one daughter, Janet NekooasL and husband Hesam of Gastonia; daughter-in-law, Judy Burris of Rockwell; five grandchildren, Susan Burris, Jennifer Burris, Crystal Bradshaw, Rodney Burris and Neil NekooasL; one great-grandchild, Andrew Bradshaw; and her beloved Yorkshire Terrier, Hollie, who gave her many years of happiness.
Service and Burial: A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis with Rev. Shane Utley officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Concord.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at 1:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 806 Klutz St, Kannapolis, NC 28081.

When we were together in 2007, I did not know that the Mill Hill Girls would not meet again until we all get to heaven. I know that you and Susie will be there to greet me, Hazel, Rachel and Mildred. Until then you will always still be in my prayers every night and day. Love ya always Joanne
