Duane Andrews Obituary

Duane Edward Andrews, 72, of Salisbury, passed from this life to his eternal home on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at his home.

Born May 9, 1953, in Orlando, Fla., he was the son of the late Clayburn M. and Beulah Ward Andrews of Winter Park, Fla. He was a graduate of Edgewater High School in Orlando.

Preceding him in death were brother Paul David Andrews; nephew Gerald Alan Andrews; and sister-in-law Janie Andrews.

Duane is survived by brother Robert Andrews of Pearson, Ga., sister Maxine May of Orlando, Fla., and brother Kenneth Andrews and wife Sylvia of Salisbury; nephews Darrell Andrews of Oviedo, Fla., David Andrews of Gallatin, Tenn., Clay Smith of Orlando, Fla., and Brian Andrews and wife Jessica of Raleigh; nieces Bonnie Fortier and husband Jeff of Colorado, Shannon and husband Benji Creeger of Sanford, Fla., and Cheryl Andrews McDonald of Winston-Salem; and great-nieces Frankie Creeger of Sanford, Fla., Evelyn Andrews and Hannah Andrews of Raleigh.

Duane was a sales representative for the Salisbury Post for eight years. He was self-employed as a financial advisor for Primerica Financial Services for more than 30 years.

Duane left instructions that he wanted no one mourning his death, but rather that a wake be held to celebrate his life. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at a later date, to be announced.

Condolences may be sent to Kenneth Andrews, 3620 E. Ridge Road, Salisbury, NC 28144.
