Elizabeth Ann Wise Wallace, 81, of Salisbury, entered into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Monday, August 18, 2025.
Ann was born October 2, 1943 to the late Annernette Wise (Pickler) and R.L. Bud Wise. She was educated in the Rowan County School System, graduating from East Rowan in 1961.
She retired from Food Lion after many years of service in the Sign Department, where she made forever friends.
Ann was passionate about service to others through her Lord, both in her church and community. She was a lifelong member of Providence United Methodist Church. At various times, she taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, and served on numerous committees. Her UMW group was dear to her, and she worked in many capacities including as an original “Dumpling Girl.” She was well known for her cooking, especially her cakes. A source of pride for her was the Circle of Friends grief support group that she founded for the community. A passionate volunteer, she worked with Rowan Helping Ministries, Meals on Wheels, and her friends at Trinity Living Center. Out of all these loves, her family held the greatest piece of her heart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first love, Cpl. George Antonitis, brother John “Bud” Wise; stepfather J.O. Pickler; second husband, Roger Wallace, and sister & brother in law, Betty Wise Boger and Dale Boger.
Left to rejoice in her homecoming and cherish her memory are daughter, Lori Dean (Mike); son, Mark Wallace (Ashley); special nieces Bonnie Rollins (Russ), Jill Earnhardt (Perry), special cousin, Gene Eller, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. All were very dear to her. For the past 17 years, her grandson, Will Campos has been the light of her life. Her love and pride for him were like no other.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 23, beginning at 3:00 PM. At Providence United Methodist Church, 6450 Bringle Ferry Rd. The funeral and internment will follow at 4. Please wear colors of celebration and happiness to honor a life well lived.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Living Center.
