Helen McManus Obituary
KANNAPOLIS - Helen Ruth McManus, 83, of Kannapolis passed away Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at her residence with family at her side. Her death follows a year long struggle with cancer.
Born June 14, 1929 in Cherokee County, Mrs. McManus was a daughter of the late Willis Garrett and Evelyn Anderson Davis.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, Richard and Steven McManus and a granddaughter, Courtney B. Graham.
Mrs. McManus was a member of Unity Baptist Church. She enjoyed several hobbies including sewing, gardening, crocheting and fishing. She loved her family and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Henry E. McManus; a daughter, Rhonda M. Little and husband Wayne of Kannapolis; grandchildren, Jessica E. McManus of Charlotte, Richard Seth McManus of Phoenix, Ariz., Garrett E. McManus of Ft. Walton Beach, Fla., Tyler Graham of Mooresville and Kendra B. Little of Kannapolis; sisters, Mildred Nall of China Grove, and Lorene Gurley and husband Paul of Richfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012 at Unity Baptist Church in Kannapolis with the Rev. Tommy Wensil officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Helen was one of the sweetest lady's I've had the pleasure of knowing . Her journey here is finished BUT her life has just begun. Our prayers are with Henry Rhoda and the family at this time.
