James Cloer Obituary

James Franklin Cloer Jr., 63, of Salisbury, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. He was born March 22, 1953 to the late James and Ruth Cloer. He graduated from Salisbury High School and hunting and fishing was his way of life. He was a people person who would talk forever about all his life adventures, especially if it had anything to do with hunting or fishing. James (Jimmy/Bubba) would do anything for anyone, would put others before himself and had a heart of gold. Bubba loved to tell jokes and stories about his past. He also treasured seeing the laughter on people's faces when they heard the stories; whether they were true or not he always made them seem real. He was the sweetest man anyone could ever have the experience of knowing. Now in heaven, he will be HUNTING, FISHING and LOVING EVERYDAY! Survivors are his son, James Franklin Cloer III; two sisters, Debbie Broadway and husband Darrel Broadway and Teresa Cutshaw and husband Ronnie Cutshaw; as well as three nieces, two great-nieces and three great-nephews. Service: A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 22, 2016 at 4 p.m. at Destiny City Church, 2324 S. Main St., Salisbury, NC 28147, conducted Pastor Don Vess. Carolina Cremation of Salisbury is serving the Cloer family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

I remember one snowy winter morning Jimmy and my husband, Paul, went fishing together. I can’t remember the name of that particular fish, but they were 2 of the happiest guys that day. They caught somewhere between 10 and 13 big fish. If I remember correctly, I think the fish were 18 to 20 pounds a piece. They talked about that for years... May you Rest In Peace Jimmy and always have a big smile on your face. Tell Paul hello for me...
