James Menster

James Terry Menster, 78, of Woodleaf, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022 at his residence. Mr. Menster was born in Rowan County, to the late Dawson Menster and Ruby Veach Menster. He worked for GE as a Material Manager until his retirement in 2000. Mr. Menster enjoyed fishing and building models. He also liked to travel and enjoyed reading about military history, riding trains and hiking. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 32 years, Diane Taylor Menster; sons, Shawn Menster of Atlanta, Ga., and Jerry Beaver and wife Janet of Kannapolis; daughters, Tamara Johnson of Mooresville and Christene Beaver of Granite Quarry; brother, Charlie Menster and wife Vera of Salisbury; sister, Carol Pepper of China Grove; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Arrangements: A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 29, at Rowan Memorial Park. Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Menster family.
