Janet Watkins

1953 - 2021

Janet Mills Watkins, 68, of Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at Atrium Health Cabarrus. She was born April 10 1953 in Union Co. to Doris Williams Mills, and the late Arnold Mills. Janet retired from the State after working for both Cabarrus County and Rowan County schools in the finance department. Janet enjoyed decorating and had a small business called Southern Touch. She also liked making flower arrangements. Janet enjoyed spending time in the mountains and especially enjoyed trips to Gatlinburg with her family. Janet  loved spending time with the grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Watkins and her father. Those left to cherish her memory, her mother Doris Williams Mills, a son Jamie Rollins and wife Jennifer, a daughter Lauren Carver and husband John, four grandchildren Aaron Carver, Jalee, Jessalyn, and Jamilyn Rollins, a brother Jerry and Patty Mills, a sister Donna and Bill Irvin.
