Jean Ludwick Obituary
Jean was born April 17, 1942 to the late David Leo and Ethel Starnes Eagle in Salisbury, NC. Jean was a lifelong member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. Jean worked in the cafeteria for Rowan County schools, however most of her time was spent raising her children and later keeping her grandchildren.
Jean was known as an amazing wife, mother and grandmother. She spent the majority of her life taking care of those around her. Jean enjoyed gardening, sewing and working in her flower beds when she was able. Jean fought a long battle with many health issues and always remained faithful in the Lord's plan for her life.
Jean is preceded in death by her husband Tom Ludwick of 64 years who she married on December 25, 1960. In addition to her parents, Jean is also preceded in death by siblings, Irvin Eagle, Leo Eagle, Martin Eagle, Annie Mae Winders and daughter Karen Kincaid.
Left to cherish her memory are sisters Frances Hand and Janie Harrington (husband June), sister in law Jo Eagle, daughter Kim Rogers (husband Trip), grandson Preston Rogers, granddaughter Taylor Cranford (husband Aaron) and great grandson Hudson Cranford.
The family would like to extend gratitude to DaVita Dialysis of Rowan County for their support and love for Jean during her years of dialysis at their clinic.
The family will greet friends and relatives from 2:00 PM until 2:45 PM on Wednesday, October 22, in the family life center at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, at the church, with the Rev. Dr. Jarrod Lanning officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Matthew's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Flowers are appreciated, but for those who wish, memorials may be made to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 9275 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC 28146.
