Kay Kepley Obituary
SALISBURY - Kay Overcash Kepley, 67, of Salisbury passed away Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House after a two year battle with cancer.
Born Dec. 13, 1945 in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Katherine Thomas Murph Overcash and James Lewis Overcash.
She was educated in the Woodleaf schools and graduated from West Rowan High School and Salisbury Business College.
Mrs. Kepley was owner and operator of Kepley Construction Company.
She was raised at Providence Presbyterian Church and was member of Coburn Memorial United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Jan Overcash Austin.
Those left to cherish her memory are W. A. "Buddy" Kepley, Jr.; sons, Anthony Bryan Kepley of Salisbury, and Christopher Michael Kepley and fiance' Jeanette Everhart; daughter, Amanda Kepley Antosek and husband Jody of Salisbury; sisters, Dian Overcash Lane of Salisbury and Brenda Overcash Freeman and husband Clyde of Woodleaf; grandchildren, Avery Kepley, Tyler Everhart, Bailey Kepley, Alex Antosek, Dalton Kepley, Nick Antosek and Katie Antosek.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 29 at the Summersett Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at Mrs. Kepley's home.
Service: Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at the Summersett Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carroll Robinson, officiating. Interment will follow at Rowan Memorial Park.
Memorials: May be made to Rowan Hospice and Palliative Care, 720 Grove Street, Salisbury, NC 28144
Summersett Funeral Home is serving the Kepley family.

Kay never failed to make us feel like her family. Her beautiful loving spirit would stay with you for days after a visit with her. Kay's capacity to love so deeply made her a most generous friend. We were so blessed and honored to have had the time we had with Kay. We have no doubt that our father was there in heaven with a big smile to greet her. Our hearts are so broken for you all. We can only offer our prayers to strengthen you. Please know that we are here and ready to help you during these very hard days and those yet to come. May the Lord keep you in the hollow of His hand.

I don't know how to put a lifetime of memories in a few words. Kay was such a dear, sweet lady and will truly be missed. Her smile was genuine and contagious at the same time. Heaven has gained another angel. My prayers are with each of you as you grieve for the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Please know there are many others who grieve with you.
