Lester Robbins Obituary
CONCORD - Lester Burns Robbins, 90, of Concord, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at his home.
Lester was born Feb. 2, 1922, to the late Edgar Lloyd and Mamie Comer Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jonathan and Eddie Mac Robbins.
He served his country honorably in five major battles during World War II. He was in the 737 Tank Battalion under General Patton.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Donnie Hewett Robbins; two daughters, Becky Robbins and Bobbie Leab and husband Max; two sons, Phillip Robbins and wife Patricia and Leonard Robbins and wife Carol; a daughter-in-law, Donna Robbins Taylor and husband Roger; a sister, Rachel Williams; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation: The family will receive friends at Impact Church, 44 Cabarrus Ave., Concord, NC 28025, on Friday, July 27 from 12 noon until 2 p.m.
Service: The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Donna Wise, will follow at 2 p.m. in the church.
Burial will follow at Brookhill Memorial Garden in Rockwell with military honors.
At other times the family will meet at the home.
Memorials: May be made to Impact Church at the address above.
Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Robbins family.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Robbins. He and my Father worked together many years ago at Pepsi-Cola in Salisbury and I remember going to hear him preach in Rockwell. Clarence Peoples Jr.

Isn't it wonderful as Christians that we know that this is not a permanant seperation. Even if we live to be 100 years old, that is just a short while before we are reunited with them again forever.
