Lewis Duncan Obituary
CONCORD - Lewis Clyde Duncan, 67, of 86 Douglas Ave., died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006, at his residence.
Born May 30, 1939, in Henrico County, Va., Mr. Duncan was a son of the late John Duncan and Rosa Duncan Duncan. Self-employed, he was president of American Heritage Homes in Concord.
Mr. Duncan was a member of Excelsior Lodge 261 AF&AM of Charlotte. He was also a Shriner and was a member of McGill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Donna (Dennis) Duncan of the home; daughters Virginia (Duncan) Raabe of Highland Springs, Va., and Bonnie (Duncan) McNeely of Mechanicsville, Va.; and sister Ethel Gooding of Highland Springs, Va.
Visitation: 12:30-1:30 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord. The family will also meet at the home at 86 Douglas Ave.
Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Hartsell Funeral Home chapel in Concord with the Rev. Ed Daniel officiating. Burial will be at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted by Excelsior Lodge 261 AF&AM of Charlotte.
Memorials: McGill Baptist Church, 5300 Poplar Tent Road, Concord, NC 28027.

I was a dealer of American Heritage Homes, and I knew Lew and Donna only by way of the telephone, but I am at a loss for words to say how much I will miss talking to Lew on the phone, he always had a way of making me feel very special, with his stories and examples. I will miss you Lew, may God comfort and bless your family in this special hour.

Donna, I'm so sorry for the loss of Clyde. I'm so glad he called Saturday night so that I had that opportunity to talk with him.
He asked me to be sure to let Mama know that he asked about her, and was thinking of her. I did that on Sunday when I visited her.
