Lisa Dean Ramsey

Lisa Dean Ramsey, 56, of Linwood, passed Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Health, Winston-Salem. Lisa was born Feb. 14, 1961, the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Ramsey. Also preceding her in death were her four-legged children, Rocky and Monster Man. In recent years, Lisa was disabled, but early in life she led a fulfilled life as a CNA at a nursing facility, a security officer and as a police officer. She also worked part-time for a veterinarian which reflected her love of animals. She is survived by three brothers, Tracy Ramsey (Linda) of Salisbury, Alan Ramsey (Linda) of Concord and Tony Ramsey of Linwood; sister, Tammy Ramsey Thompson (Mark) of Linwood; niece, Brandy Ramsey; nephews, Jason Ramsey of Linwood and Christopher Ramsey of Thomasville; and a very special aunt, Linda Sigmon. Service & Visitation: A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017 at Smith Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Preacher Clyde Akers. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Piedmont Funeral Home. Piedmont Funeral Home is assisting the family.
