Lonzo Ramsue Obituary
CLEVELAND - Lonzo Berett Ramsue Jr., 84, of Dooley Road, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014. at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice Home.
Born July 10, 1929, in Camden, S.C., to the late Lonzo Berett Ramsue Sr., and Jessie Brown Ramsue, he was educated in the public schools of Rowan County and was a graduate of R.A. Clement High School in Cleveland and barber school. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was employed by R.J Reynolds Tobacco Co. in Winston-Salem and retired from Kosa Industries. He was also a pig farmer.
He was a faithful member of Rock Hill Church of Christ, where he served as a Deacon. He was also a faithful member of J.C. Price American Legion Post 107.
He was preceded in death by brothers Thomas and David Ramsue; sisters Bessie Biggers, Beretta Thompson; and a grandson, Gary Eugene Bryant.
He leaves to cherish loving memories his devoted wife, Thelma Miller Ramsue of the home; daughter Zandra Bryant, Cleveland; sister Barbara (Anthony) Wilson, Cleveland; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Arrangements: Services will be held Saturday, April 5 at Rock Hill Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. and Funeral at 1 p.m. with the burial following in the Church Cemetery. Brother Nelson Brockenborough, pastor, officiating, Brother Al Simmons as Eulogist.
