Margaret Ann "Mamaw" Fox

Margaret Fox Obituary

Margaret 'Mamaw' Ann Fox

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Margaret "Mamaw" Ann Fox, passed away in Pensacola Sunday, Jan. 18, 2009, at 9:22 p.m. local time due to complications of multiple health issues. She was 65.

"Mamaw" was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt who relished time in the presence of her family. If you were to open up her "Dear God" book, a book of prayers she started in 2004, you would find this quote: "We need to live as if it's our last day on earth, and treat our loved ones like we are spending our last day with them."

Margaret Ann Fox was born April 20, 1943, in Rockcastle County, Ky. She lived her teen years in Berea, Ky., and Beverly, Ky. For most of her life, she lived in Salisbury and Faith, N.C., before settling in Navarre, Fla., approximately 10 years ago. She was employed by both Profit Recovery Group and General Electric, both located in Salisbury, N.C.

She is survived by her husband, Scotty Fox; her daughter, Donna Jean Morgan; son-in-law Loy "Stoney" Morgan; her grandchildren, Keri Ann Morgan and Justin Morgan; her great-grandchildren, Melanie Nicholle, Madeline BreAnn and Justin Tyler Morgan; her sisters, Shelby Warren, Sally Asher, and Linda Rumple; her nieces and nephews, Michelle Selby, Sabian Warren, Latifi Tracy, Greki Rosenberg, Taji Hilson, Banzen Warren, Angela Asher, Gayle Greene, Jere Kelton, Mary Ann Haas, Joshua Sizemore, Laurel Rumple and Heath Rumple.

Margaret has now gone to join her family who preceded her into Heaven to be with their Lord and Savior, including her mother, Isabel Sizemore; her father, James Sizemore; and her brothers, Bobby Sizemore and Stanley Sizemore.

Margaret was known to everyone from her close family members to the doctors and nurses who kept her in their care as a person with a great sense of humor. She could make anyone laugh, and had a terrific laugh herself that she loved to share. She had a fondness for southern gospel music, the novels of Danielle Steel and seeing movies. She was an excellent cook of southern cuisine.

She loved sitting on the snow white sand and gazing out on blue-green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. One of her favorite things to do was to talk about her great-grandchildren, Madeline, Melanie and Justin, and brag on their accomplishments and sweet temperaments. Margaret's primary focus in life was always her family.

"And God shall wipe all the tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." -Revelation 21:4

"MaMaw" was the best person to be around. When I would come to visit Keri & the kids she was sick alot but she still had the warmest heart and would do anything for anyone that needed it. I admired the love she had for Keri & them grandbabies. It was such a close bond between the 5 of them. Keri & her were like two peas in a pod. They would bicker and argue because they were so much alike. It was amusing. The next second they would be hugging and telling each other how much they loved one another. I don't know how Keri & the kids are coping. Keri was so close to her especially when she got so sick since she had to take care of her 24/7. I am Praying for their strength and hope they know she is really in a better place. She will be with them always in their hearts. I love you guys!

MaMaw, It doesn't feel like you are really gone. You would be so proud of your baby, Keri. She has done such a good job with your memorial and handling all the craziness since you went to be with the Lord. She held up her promise to you. I know you are smiling down on her. Thank you for everything you did for everyone. You were the best, MaMaw ever. We love you.
