Mark Luke Cauble, 59, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury. Mark was born Dec. 27, 1962 in West Palm Beach, Fla., to Lois Jean Bullock Cauble and the late Billy Henry Alexander Cauble. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Mark married Denise Ball on Nov. 6, 1982 in West Covina, Calif., while he served in the Marine Corps. They raised their family in Southern California for many years. In 1994 they moved to North Carolina and it truly became home. His wife was the love of his life. Together they created a family, a business, and a legacy. He knew that with her, he could conquer the world, and he did. He loved to spend time with Denise, especially in Mexico. They stayed many happy days on the beach, enjoying the sun, the sand, and their time together. Often those trips included friends and family as well. He loved to fish, and would take family and friends to the Outer Banks each year for a week-long fishing trip. All the trips he went on were as much about the people he was with as the destination. Mark's family was his first priority. He was a loyal friend and never met a stranger. He was always providing for those he loved, which was everyone. He was generous with his time and his love. He loved to cook for others and was in his element when he was at his grill, making food for dozens of people. The grandkids were Mark's pride and joy. Every granddaughter was PaPaw's girl and each grandson was PaPaw's boy. Making them happy made him happy. If a grandchild wanted something, they knew PaPaw would make it happen for them. He loved to hear about their accomplishments and cheered them on in everything they did. There wasn't a problem that Mark couldn't fix. He had a knack for figuring out the root of the issue and making sure everything was taken care of. He would ask lots of questions and walk you through the solution, so you learned how to fix it as well. Mark was the first of three generations of racers. For many years, he held the record for fastest track time in the division at Kern County Raceway in Rosamond, Calif. He raced in both California and North Carolina and loved being at the track. Mark was Owner/operator of Carolina Pipe Cleaning, Inc. in Rockwell. His father was a plumber and his sons and grandson are as well. His employees have said that he was the best boss you could ever have. He took care of his customers and his employees, and took pride in doing his job well. Mark is survived by his wife Denise; sons, Joshua (Nora) Cauble of Charlotte, Eric (Angie) Cauble of Spanish Fork, Utah, Daniel (Christina) Cauble of Salisbury, and Trevor (Michelle) Cauble of Rockwell; mother, Jean Thiese of Salisbury; sister, Billie Jean Hurst of Salisbury; brother, Danny Cauble of Rockwell; grandchildren, Aerial (Alex Crowley), Karigan, Caitlin, Ian, Emolyn, Ivee, Baylee, Adelynn, Emersyn, and Carson Cauble; and great-grandchildren, Genevieve and Atlas Crowley. Arrangements: The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1255 Julian Road, Salisbury, NC 28146 with Bishop Phillip Smith officiating.
