To our Family, often times we try to figure out God's plan and then we ask ourselves how heavy of a cross can we bear but at the end of the day, we know that he always has a plan and that when we are in that walk with him, that heavy cross becomes lighter because he lays upon our hearts that we are not alone and each step that we take and every tear that we shed he is there to wipe away that pain. Our loved one is at peace now and to be absent from this body and present with the Lord is by far the greatest peace there is. May God give you that peace today and may each of you always allow Melanie to live in your memory. My deepest Sympathy

Melanie had a heart of Gold!!! ...and, all I know is that every burner is on, in every mansion, every cast iron pan is bubbling....liver and onions, potatoes and onions!!! ... pinto beans and cornbread with cole slaw!!!! Melanie could make a can of Green Beans taste like a whole Green Bean Casserole in 5 minutes!!! ALL of Heaven's kitchens are now lit!!!! She will now rest as she cooks for e'rrybody!!!

My deepest condolences on the passing of one of my oldest and dearest friends. I stand corrected because we became "blood sisters" pricking our fingers over bowls of cornflakes when we were about 7 yrs old. You are blessed to have a friendship with a person who no matter how much time has passed since you've last seen each other and when you do it's as if it was day before yesterday. There's an empty spot in my world but never in my heart for I will always love you my sister for life.

I met Melanie last year and it wasn't a good time of my life but she was there for me and took care of me when I needed some one. She didn't know me and I didn't know her but she definitely took care of me like I was her child. For that she will always hold a special place in my heart.
