Michael Bilyeu Obituary

Michael Ervin Bilyeu, 77, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. passed away Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at his residence after a long period of declining health. Michael was born July 19, 1944 in Salisbury, to the late Ethel Pemberton Poole and Lawrence Bilyeu. He was a graduate of Boyden High School Class of 1962. Michael was a conductor for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 33 years. In 2000 he and JoeAnn moved to North Myrtle Beach to enjoy retirement. Michael was a 32nd degree Mason, a member of Keller Memorial Lodge in Rockwell, and Oasis Temple Shriner in Charlotte. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Camara Bilyeu Talbert who died on Jan. 19, 2017. Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, JoeAnn Glenn Bilyeu of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; son, Bradley Choplin of Youngsville; daughter, Sheila Parrish and husband Michael of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Arrangements: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday Feb. 5 at Summersett Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at City Memorial Park.
