Nathan Scott Fleming

1964 - 2019

Nathan Scott Fleming, 54, of Woodleaf, NC passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Novant Health Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House after 18 months of fighting cancer. Scott was born November 30, 1964 in Richmond, VA to Carol H. Fleming of Woodleaf, NC and the late Nathan H. Fleming. Mr. Fleming was a 1983 graduate of West Rowan High School and earned his Bachelor Degree from Catawba College. He served in the U.S. Army then worked at Norandall, McKenzie and Promat Athletics. Mr. Fleming loved hunting, fishing trips and golf. He was an active member of Unity Presbyterian Church and served as an elder and a deacon. Surviving is his wife of 23 years, Kimberly V. Fleming who he married on July 6, 1996; sons, Jacob G. Fleming and Howard A. Reynolds; daughter, Meghan E. Fleming; brother, Christopher W. Fleming and wife Carmen of Cleveland, NC; sisters, Kimberly F. Foster and husband Sam of Woodleaf, NC and Carrie F. Kelly and husband Ben of Lake Wylie, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 PM Sunday (Oct. 6) at Unity Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will follow at 4 PM at the church, conducted by Rev. Kevin Conley and Rev. Walter Fleming. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Presbyterian Church, 885 Woodleaf Barber Rd., Cleveland, NC 27013 or Novant Health Glenn A.
