Norma Scoggins

1940 - 2021

Mrs. Norma Jackson Scoggins, age 81, of Salisbury, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Saturday May 29, 2021, at The Laurels of Salisbury. Born April 4, 1940 in Mullins, S.C., Norma was the daughter of the late Manley and Leatha Jackson. Norma was a member of Homeland Baptist Church. She loved to shop, buy flowers and read. Norma was a registered Nurse for Rowan Regional Medical Center where she retired in 1999 after 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max Scoggins and their son, Ray Scoggins. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Maxine Carlyle of Salisbury; son, Ron Scoggins (Gena) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Allen Carlyle Jr. (Norma) of Salisbury, Dustin Carlyle of Salisbury, Amanda Armstrong (Matt) of China Grove, and Clint Scoggins (Angie) of Tyro; great-grandchildren, Alana Carlyle, Kassidy Carlyle, Zane Carlyle, Zamir Carlyle, Harrison Armstrong, Austin Scoggins, and RJ Scoggins; a sister, Lettie Phillips; and brother, Frank Jackson. Visitation: There will be a private family viewing only. Service: Family will receive friends at Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church (3760 Stokes Ferry Rd. Salisbury NC 28146) Wednesday, June 2, from 12:30-1:15 p.m., with the service following at 1:30 p.m., at the church. Burial will take place at Rowan Memorial Park following the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Tabernacle Church building fund, or Rowan County Rescue Squad, (1140 Julian Rd. Salisbury NC 28146).
