Carolyn Faye Watson, age 78, passed away Wednesday, October 1st, 2025 at her home in Piedmont. She was born October 16th, 1946 in Florida, the daughter of Clarence Cooey and Jeannie Faye (Howell) Cooey.
A long time resident of Piedmont, Carolyn worked for many year as a Social Worker for the Division of Family Services. She also worked in Real Estate and was the property manager for Meadow Brook Apartments. She attended Harvest Baptist Church.
Carolyn was married to Gaylon Watson March 20th, 1970 and he passed away October 15th, 2019. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jeannie Cooey.
Survivors include two children, Timothy Watson and his wife Sherry, of Potosi, MO, Angela Watson-Carter, of Park Hills, MO, one brother, Alan Cooey, of Arizona, her grandchildren, Justin Watson and Willow Stefanko, her niece, Christine White, along with many other family and friends.
Visitation was held at 12:00 PM Saturday, October 4th at the Morrison Funeral Chapel in Piedmont. Funeral services followed at 2:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Darrell Silvy officiating. Special recorded songs were played for the service and Tim and Angela gave tributes to their mother. Nick Burton, Scott James, Dennis Matthews, Richard White, Jim Fanning and Alton Clark served as Pall Bearers and Christine White sang a special at the graveside.
Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Chapel.
