Patricia Orbison Obituary

Patricia “Patty” Morrow Orbison, 82, of Mooresville stepped into Glory to meet her Savior on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Born January 1941, Patty was the daughter of the late Ross M. and Pearl Beaver Morrow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Chris A. Orbison; sister, Dianne A. Patterson; and brother, John Robert Morrow. Left to celebrate her home going, is her husband of 62 years, Phillip H. Orbison of Mooresville; son, Phillip Dean Orbison of Mooresville; daughters, Ginny A. Wilson (Scott) of Mt. Pleasant, Renee L. Keziah (Steve) of New Salem; grandchildren, Joshua E. Orbison (Sarah), Isaac H. Keziah (Shanea), Timothy Wilson, Noah Ledbetter, Gee Ocana, Nikki Orbison; sister, Deborah Gramling; brother, Lanny R. Morrow and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Patty loved to cross-stitch, giving most of her treasured creations to family and friends. She and her husband Phillip spent many years traveling all over the US, visiting 40 plus states. They enjoyed their time together seeing God's country. Patty had a green thumb, picking up what seemed like a stick to others, but with her care and a little time became a beautiful flower. She was employed by Mooresville Graded Schools for 29 years, however the service she loved most was her service to West Corinth Baptist Church. Patty loved her church, serving as Sunday School teacher, Deacon's wife, VBS Director, and Youth Leader. Her greatest love in the church, however, was singing praises to her Lord and Savior from the second row of the choir. Even as her health declined, she loved to sing and knew every word of the old hymns and gospel songs. Patty finally got to go home to sing in that heavenly choir. Patty showed unselfish love to all who knew her, but that love was manifested a thousand times as she showed her family how to love. She made sure that her children and grandchildren knew what true love was and exhibited it to them tirelessly. She made such a difference in the many lives she touched. Arrangements: The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 7, from 2:30-4 p.m. with a service following at 4 p.m. at West Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Suttles officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Memorials can be made to West Corinth Baptist Church 120 Corinth Church Road Mooresville, NC 28115 or the Alzheimer's Association 4600 Park Road Charlotte, NC 28209. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville is proudly serving the Orbison family. Condolences may be made to the family at www.cavin-cook.com.

Dear Mr Orbison & Family of Patty, we are sorry for the loss of such a talented and loving Lady. We pray that precious memories of her will give you much comfort in the days, weeks, and years ahead. We do rejoice for Patty that now she is in Heaven with her Lord and all of her Loved Ones who have gone on before. She knew how much all of you loved her and you will see her again in Paradise where there is no more sickness, pain, or death, "In the Land where we'll never grow old." My thoughts and prayers are with y'all! I worked with Dean and he is very talented and a wonderful teacher. He made and is still making differences in many people. Reading about his mom, I know and see that he has many of her talents. She's in Heaven in God's choir! God bless y'all!
