Patsy Ruth Chambers Snider

1942 - 2024

Patsy Ruth Chambers Snider, 81, of Salisbury, NC passed away Friday, January 19, 2024 at Accordius Nursing Home in Salisbury.

Born November 20, 1942 in Salisbury, NC she was the daughter of the late Walter Ray Chambers Sr. and Ruth Honeycutt Chambers.

Mrs. Snider was a graduate of North Rowan High School. She worked as a homemaker, taking care of her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, who knew her as “Mama Pat”. She was affectionately known as Miss Pat to the children of the Newcomers Club, Salisbury Women's Christian Club, and the nursery at First Baptist Church of Salisbury. She often sent cards letting others know she was thinking of them and enjoyed baking treats for her friends and family.

Preceding her in death is her husband, Carl Vernon “Cork” Snider; brother, Walter Ray “Sonny” Chambers Jr.; sister, Judy Chambers Page; special friends, Bettie Webb and Minnie Kepley.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Derek Snider (Karen), Kevin Snider; daughter, Jatana Jernigan (Mike); grandchildren, Leanna Hildebrand, Alyssa Talbert, Dylan Snider, Karli Snider, Brianne Kiser, Corey Snider, Devon Jernigan, Jordyn Jernigan; great granddaughter, Sophi Talbert; nieces, Robin Cain, Kelli Bame; nephews, Barry and Brent Chambers; along with lifelong best friend, Debbie Rainey.

Visitation will be from 12-1pm, January 24, 2024 at Summersett Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be at 1pm in Summersett Memorial Chapel with Pastor Samuel Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Rowan Memorial Park cemetery.
