Raymond Moore Obituary

Raymond R. Moore, Jr., 73, passed away on July 4, 2025 at Atrium Health Cabarrus, surrounded by his family.

Mr. Moore was a long-term resident of Salisbury and most recently lived in Woodleaf. He was a hard-working man who spent a lifetime career in the HVAC industry. He owned and operated Air Master Technologies, Inc., a long-established HVAC service company in Salisbury, for 50 years.

He was more than just a driven and goal-oriented man, though. Mr. Moore was passionate about Karate and about helping others. Holder of a Black Belt in American Open Style Karate, he was a Sensei. He loved working with kids who were new to Karate, helping them learn the basics. He also enjoyed class warm-ups and assisted with tournaments. He was known to have a great sense of humor and loved to entertain with his wit. He was a member of River City Church in Landis, NC.

Mr. Moore leaves behind a large family. He is survived by his girlfriend Patricia Brown of Woodleaf, son Jeffrey Moore of Salisbury (Heather), son Shane Sapp-Moore of Landis (Brian), stepson Donald Morgan of Maryland, stepson Lonny Morgan of Florida (Soraya), sister Dee Smith of Ferguson NC (Larry), sister Sharon (Shirley) Benson of Salisbury; Holli Morgan, who was raised by Mr. Moore and his wife Linda, is more like a daughter than a granddaughter. Her son Ezra also occupied a special place in Raymond's family circle. Mr. Moore loved every member of his family, including grandson Brandon Moore of Kannapolis (Katlynn), granddaughter Kaitlyn Moore of Salisbury (Cody), great-grandson Walker Moore of Kannapolis, great-grandson Jaxon Peacock of Salisbury, grandson Max Morgan of China Grove, granddaughter Layla Morgan of Florida, niece Brandy Lynn of Chapin SC (Marc), nephew Justin Moore of Pennsylvania (Alicia), nephew Price Griffin of Salisbury, and niece Sherry Griffin of Salisbury.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his wife Linda Moore, father Raymond Moore Sr., mother Mae Hilton Moore, brothers Dennis Moore, Gary Moore and Delmar (Junior) Bost, and grandson Damion Morgan.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Thursday, July 10, at Rowan Memorial Park Mausoleum, with a service following at 2 PM, officiated by Rev. Branden Spiker.
