Ruby Lynch

Ruby Mae Collins Lynch, 78, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015, at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born Aug. 28, 1937, in Marion County, S.C., a daughter of the late Clyde and Marie Treadway Collins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Walter and Grady, and one sister, Minnie Belle. Ruby was a graduate of Marion County High School. She moved to Salisbury in 1972. She was employed by Haleyville Drapery until her retirement due to disability. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry where she was a member of the James Mathas Sunday School Class. Ruby enjoyed working in the yard, raising flowers and having a garden. She also enjoyed making yoyo quilts, cooking and fishing when the family went to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Lee Lynch of the home; three daughters, Terry Cameron (Douglas) of Granite Quarry, Linda Ardolino (John) of Burlington and Deborah Hughes (Michael) of Salisbury, two sons, Robert Lee “Bobby” Lynch, Jr. (Christy) of Rockwell, and James Edward “Jimmy” Lynch (Jerri) of Rockwell. She is also survived by two sisters, Lottie Ruth Jones of Marion, S.C., Carol Collins of Gresham, S.C., and one brother, Clyde Collins of Mullins, S.C. Eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Arrangements: Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Granite Quarry, conducted by Rev. Angela Burris. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10-11 a.m. At other times they will be at the residence.
