Shirley Corriher Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Ruth Freeze Corriher, 73, of China Grove, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, Salisbury. Born July 21, 1942, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Baxter and Pauline Honbarger Freeze. Mrs. Corriher graduated from Landis High School and was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. She worked for Noah's 5 and 10 for more than 20 years. She loved to read, do needle point, quilting and canning vegetables. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Leonard Corriher; sons Timothy Baxter Corriher (Debra) of Salisbury and Steven Clyde Corriher of China Grove; and daughter Kimberly Corriher Karriker (Brian) of Mooresville. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Schenck of China Grove; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Arrangements: Visitation is Saturday 1-3 p.m. at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with funeral at 3 p.m., also at the church with Rev. Charles Gibbons, minster. To the family of Shirley Corriher, so sorry for your loss. Times like these can be very difficult so pray constantly. Phillipians 4:6-7 admonishes us to throw our anxiety on our Heavenly Father he in turn will strengthen you and place peace upon your mind and heart.
