Steven Peeler Obituary
Born March 20, 1945 to Floyd and Margaret Kluttz Peeler, he was a graduate of East Rowan High School class of 1963. He spent his career in the automotive parts business beginning at Wallace Motor Company and most recently at Rouzer Motor Parts.
In addition to his parents, he was proceeded in death by son, Randall Gore.
Steve was an avid sportsman who enjoyed softball, golfing, fishing at the Outer Banks and cheering on UNC basketball. He served as a Gray Y football coach, YMCA basketball coach and a basketball referee for the NC High School Athletic Association for many years.
He was a member of the Rowan County Shrine Club, American Legion Post 327 in Faith and the Rockwell Masonic Lodge. Steve was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard.
His past times included keeping a meticulous yard, and whatever adventure his grandchildren were on. He rarely missed an event they had including ball games, livestock shows or fishing tournaments. One of his favorite events was the annual dove hunt that he shared with his son in law, grandchildren and friends.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Malynda Peeler who he married on September 30, 1989, daughter Alicia Holshouser and husband Todd. And his beloved grandchildren, Grace Holshouser and Gabe Holshouser.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 14 from 1:45 pm - 2:45 pm at Union Lutheran Church, Salisbury, with the funeral and graveside service following at 3 pm. Pastor Heidi Punt will be officiating. Masonic Rites to follow.

Steve was a great automotive parts man. I worked with him years ago at Carter Mays. He loved his family, that's one thing I remember along with his perfectly manicured yard. His smile was infectious. So sorry for the loss of a really good guy.
