Tamara Simpson Obituary
Born April 25, 1964 in Rowan County she was the daughter of the late Wayne Simpson and Betty Baker Simpson.
Tamara was a graduate of South Rowan High School, class of 1982. She worked as a housekeeper and cleaning service for a number of years in many different locations. Tamara enjoyed a variety of jewelry and gemstones. She was a collector of house plants and enjoyed crocheting as a hobby. She was member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in China Grove.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Heath Taylor and wife Tristyn and Greg Taylor; sister, Sharon Plummer (Frank), Bettywayne Reid; grandsons, William, Zaine and Brooks Taylor.
Memorial service will be held at Summersett Memorial Chapel 2 p.m. Tuesday (January 30).

I enjoyed getting to know Tammy through the youth group at Thyatira Presbyterian Church. I know she always enjoyed being with her cousins who were also in our youth group. The Bakers and the Shavers. Tammy was always a pleasure to be around. My prayers go out to her family.

So sad to hear of Tammy´s passing. We were good friends in elementary school and middle school. We along with her cousins Sherry and Norman made such fun memories at Patterson Elementary. And sleepovers at her house were the best. In her passing she left behind such fond memories. She will be missed.
