Terry Hoffner

Terry Shook Hoffner, 76, of Mt. Ulla went to be with his Lord on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born in Iredell County on May 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Betty Shook and Ivey Lee Hoffner. Terry was in the first graduating class at West Rowan High School in 1960. He loved farming and took over as owner of Hoffner Brothers Dairy along with his twin brother Jerry after their father passed away at an early age. He also loved restoring old tractors and was a lifelong member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Hoffner and twin Jerry Hoffner; and a sister, Molly Thompson. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Frances Hoffner, whom he married on March 28, 1975; son, Terry Lee Hoffner (Susan) of Mt. Ulla; daughter, Alison Clawson (Chad) of Mt. Ulla; grandchildren, who were the love of his life, Brooklynn Hoffner, Karley Clawson, Kennedy Clawson, Katie Hoffner and Kallie Clawson. Visitation: 10-11:30 a.m., Friday, June 15, at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 11020 NC Hwy. 801, Mt. Ulla, NC, 28125. Service: 12 p.m., Friday at St. Luke's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Scott Swix officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
