Thomas “Marty” Martin Sehnal, 73, of Salisbury NC, and formerly of Wolcott, CT, passed away Friday, September 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at Atrium Health Union in Monroe, NC. He was born October 27, 1947 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Francis William Sehnal and Virginia Lee Sehnal. First and foremost, the heart of Marty's world was his family. Marty is survived by his Best Friend and Love of his life, wife Karen Komarnsky Sehnal , whom he married April 12, 1969; son, Thomas “Tom” Martin (Karen) Sehnal Jr. of Salisbury, NC; daughter, Tara Sehnal (Michael) King of Charlotte, NC; sister, Virginia Ann Sehnal (Ted) Hanson of Wolcott, CT; brother, William Lee Sehnal of Wolcott, CT; Judy Sehnal of NH; and four grandchildren, or as Marty referred to them, his little cookie snatchers, Tyler Martin (Anna) Sehnal, Morgan Rae Sehnal, William Francis King, and Michaela Grace King. He is also survived by his nephews and a niece, several cousins, his Aunt Jean Maher, and many special lifelong friends. Marty also leaves his four-legged best friend, Rylee. Marty was a graduate of Wolcott High School, Class of 1965. After graduation he proudly served as a PFC in the United States Army Reserves. He then went on to create and build his business T.M. Sehnal Carpentry with his son, Tom. Together they expanded the business and they became well known wherever their craftsmanship took them. Marty used his talent and skills to donate to his community, his church, and to anyone else who may be in need. Arrangements: The family will greet friends and relatives on Thursday, September 30, 2021, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Powles Staton Funeral Home, Rockwell, NC. The family will greet friends and relatives on Friday, October 1, 2021, 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Salisbury, NC. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 1, 2021, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Salisbury, NC, with Father John Eckert, officiating.
