Treva Phelps

Mrs. Treva Lyerly Phelps, 80, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Born June 22, 1935, in Rowan County, to Ruth Kincaid Weaks and James Thomas Lyerly, she attended Woodleaf schools. Mrs. Phelps worked for Tri-State Hospital Supply Company. She attended Unity Presbyterian Church in Woodleaf. Preceding her in death was her sister, Nancy L. Safley. Surviving are her son, Ronnie Phelps and his wife Diane of Hot Springs; two sisters, Peggy L. Williams and husband C.C. of Cleveland and Norma Overcash and husband Dave of Cleveland; and one granddaughter, Shelly Holtsclaw and husband Sam. Arrangements: The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 14) at Summersett Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Unity Presbyterian Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Phil Hagen, Minister of Unity Presbyterian Church.
