Werner Floss Obituary

Werner Max Floss SALISBURY - Werner Max Floss , 83, of Salisbury, died at his home Wednesday, April 19, 2006, after a battle with lung cancer. Mr. Floss was born Jan. 25, 1923, in Meerane, Germany, a son of the late Paul Alfred and Johann Jordan Floss. He is survived by his wife, Lola Leab Floss, whom he married July 31, 1985. He has two stepdaughters, Melinda Morris of Salisbury and Sandra Sears of Welcome. His stepson, Hans Peter Floss, and his brother, Rudolph Floss, preceded him in death. Mr. Floss was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Men 's Chorus. He was also an accomplished accordionist. Service : Following cremation, there will be a Memorial Service at Salem Lutheran Church at noon Sunday conducted by the Rev. Dr. William K. Hollar and the Rev. David Keck, interim pastor. Visitation : The family will speak to friends following the Memorial Service. They will also be at the residence prior to the service. Memorials : In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Rowan Regional Home Health & Hospice, 825-A W. Henderson St., Salisbury, NC 28144; or Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 5080 Sherrills Ford Road, Salisbury, NC 28147. Evergreen Cremation Services is assisting the Floss family. The family is grateful to Rowan Regional Home Health & Hospice, and especially, Debbie Lentz and Lisa Starnes for all the love and care they gave Mr. Floss and his family.

Lola, I am so sorry to hear about Werner. I always enjoyed seeing you and he at June's shop. Please know I am thinking of you at this difficult time. God keep His arms around you.
