Alfred C. Gailey

Alfred C. Gailey "A Farewell to the Caretaker"  Alfred Cecil Gailey: Born July 29, 1918 to Lawrence Edward Gailey and Grace Edith Cottrell Gailey.  Deceased January 12, 2003 of natural causes at the age of 84. Married July 15, 1946 to Velda Muriel Peterson who preceded him in death in August of 1993. Served in the US Army Air Force stationed in Europe during World War II and retired at the rank of Major. Worked in the Salt Lake City School District Office over building maintenance, retired in 1989. Served on the Sandy City Historical Museum Committee. Also preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ivan and Lawrence Gailey.  Survived by brothers, Horace (Fay) Gailey of South Jordan, Clyde Orvil (Ginette) Gailey of Watsonville, California, Hugh Richard (Mary) Gailey of Snowflake Arizona; numerous nieces, nephews, and his best buddy, his dog Kaboo. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2003 at 12:00 Noon in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel 1950 E. 10600 S. Sandy, Utah where friends may call Wednesday 6-8 pm and Thursday one hour prior to the service. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
