He attended Dixie College in St. George Utah in 1984 where he met his wife of 25 years, Beverly Redd Schenk, married July 18, 1986. Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. He befriended everyone who crossed his path. He loved working and playing on the golf course where he promoted from Greens Mower to Superintendent of Golf Course Maintenance in Mesquite, Nevada. He moved his family to Murray, Utah in 2001 where he was put on the organ donor waiting list. In 2003 he received his miraculous gift of life from heart donor Heather Lynn Sackett. After his heart transplant he had the great fortune of seeing both of his kids graduate from high school, his daughter get married and bring his two beautiful grandsons into the world.
