Antonio Gamonal Obituary
1968-2021
Tony Gamonal, 53, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Burlington, NC. A native of Salt Lake City, UT, Tony was born on April 21, 1968, the son of Arturo and Sheila.
Tony was brilliant, ambitious and witty. He was known for his ability to see a problem and then invent a solution; he could turn the hardest day into the funniest story; and an ordinary meal into a thorough discussion of physics or math theory.
Tony graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Political Science and Entrepreneurism. He worked as a flooring estimator and in his free time he was reading, writing, inventing, and staying involved with local politics. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.
Surviving are parents Shelia Gamonal and Arturo (Graciela) Gamonal, sister Elena Gamonal-Shoup, nephews Durand (Alex), Connor, and Ian Shoup and niece Isabella Shoup.
The family held a private ceremony to celebrate Tony's life.
