AArlene Holbrook Willey Clayson passed away peacefully of natural causes on Thursday, 9/1/2011, at her home in South Jordan, UT. Arlene was born in Bountiful, UT to loving parents Ralph C. and Alice Moss Holbrook. She grew up in West Point, UT with her parents and siblings Levon, Bernice, Keith, and Geneve; all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her children from both the Willey and Clayson families; Peggy Willey (Buddy Navarrete), Jim Willey (Laurie), Richard Willey (Doris), Paul Willey, David Willey (Nancy), Jolene Willey (Todd Bass), Daughter-in-Law Barbara (Brent Willey), Lynn Clayson (Martha), and Janice Clayson (Jack Snow), and a bundle of grand and great grandchildren. Arlene is also preceded in death by her loving husbands Joseph Glen Willey and Lester Vern Clayson, her son Brent and daughter Darlene. With passing of her siblings and their spouses, Arlene assumed the role of matriarch of her nephews and nieces. Arlene led a full and eventful life. She was very active in her church and served many callings. The mother of seven children, Arlene was very active in the community and schools. Arlene loved her immediate and extended family, traveling, going out to dinner, and spending time with friends and families. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Alta Ridge Assisted Care, South Jordan for their loving care and concern.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept 7 at 11:00 am at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy (10600 S.), South Jordan, UT were a viewing will be held Tuesday, Sept 6 from 6-8 pm and from 10-10:30 am prior to services on Wednesday.
