Arthur Stephen Higley

1941-2026

South Salt Lake, UT- Arthur Stephen Higley died January 3, 2026, in South Salt Lake, Utah. He was born March 7, 1941, in Grantsville, Utah, to Milo George Higley and Katherina Barbara Johnson Higley. He married Susan Millfred on February 20, 1981, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Arthur faithfully fulfilled a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in southern California and Arizona. He served in the U.S. Army and was an active member of the Church, serving in numerous callings. He loved our Father in Heaven and Savior Jesus Christ and faithfully served by quietly helping others throughout his life.

Arthur loved farming. Being on his farm filled him with joy and renewed his spirt. He saw potential in every person and plot of soil-and held firm to his faith that with God's blessing, anything could flourish.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Rulon Milo Higley and Paul Higley, and two sisters, Marjorie Moss and Geraldine Everett. He is survived by his wife, Susan Millfred Higley, and three sisters, Colleen Hughes, LeeAnn Higley-Carlyle, and Barbara (Quinn) May.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kimball Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2280 South 300 East, South Salt Lake, Utah. A viewing will be held at the ward prior to the services from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The interment will be at Larkin Sunset Lawn Cemetery, located at 2350 East 1300 South Salt Lake City, Utah.
