Austa (Armitstead) Miller

North Logan, UT—Austa (Armitstead) Miller passed away October 21, 2021 at home in North Logan, Utah. She was born April 9, 1934 in her family home in the elegant town of Copperton Bingham Canyon, Utah to Elvin C and Sadie Armitstead. She was easy to love and fun to love, and an elegant, graceful, beautiful, soft spoken lady. Austa graduated in 1952 from the "Old" Bingham High School in Copperton. While there in the seventh grade, she met a Copperfield Rascal by the name of Russ Miller. There must have been some kind of attraction there because in the twelfth grade they started a relationship that lasted for 70 years which included 67 years of marriage. Austa worked for Kennecott Copper for many years in their Salt Lake office. Immediate survivors, husband Russ Miller, sons David Miller (Linda) & Mark Miller, daughter Vicki Hansen, and two adorable granddaughters that their grandmother cherished very much, Austa Gioconda (Hansen) Feller (Chris) and Andrea Lynn (Hansen) Nogueira (Derrick). At her request, Austa donated her body to science at the University of Utah. Also, at her request, she was cremated with no services before or after cremation. May her memory be eternal.

Dear Russell, I loved Austa, and I am so sorry to learn of your loss. I started kindergarten with her, and enjoyed her friendship throughout the school years to graduation. The girls of our age were very close, and did many fun things together during our growing years. Austa was always nice to everyone, and such a good friend. I know how much all of you will miss her. I send my love and sympathy to you and your family. Both of you have always been special to me. With love and tears, Nanette
