Bonnie Kunkel Obituary

1970 ~ 2016
Bonnie Kunkel passed away on June 29, 2016. She was born January 24, 1970 to Phil Kunkel and Ruth Rytting Kunkel.
Bonnie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved being involved in many activities associated with the church.
Anyone who met Bonnie knew what a special person she was. Bonnie loved watching professional ice skating her entire life. She enjoyed country music; Branson, MO; and particularly the Oak Ridge Boys. She loved animals and especially her cats, Tigger and Beep. Bonnie enjoyed the simple things in life like going out to eat, soda, and Hershey's kisses. More than outings, Bonnie loved her family and friends. She always wanted to be in on the latest changes and events so that she could be a part of celebrating with those she loved.
She might have lived a simple life, but the lessons we learned from her were far from simple. Her life on earth was not always easy--we're so happy about the life she is about to live. She has been loved, and she will be missed by many.
She is survived by her sister, Michelle Child (Craig); her nieces and nephews: Amy Stringfellow (Peter), Colby Child, Laura Child, and Jason Child; and the Dale and Irene Janes family (her second family).
She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robbie Potter.
Special thanks to Scott Richins at Davis Behavioral Health and Dr. Mark Christian at Cope Family Medicine for their compassionate care.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist Mortuary in Bountiful. Friends may visit with the family prior to the services from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com

Michelle, Craig and family,
Want you to know how much we admire you for the love and support you have given Bonnie throughout her life. It was a treat to be with her on family celebrations with our families. She was always quick to remember all our names and we would enjoy visiting with her. She will join her mother and all her extended family with much joy. Wish I could be with you this day, but send our love and sympathy.

Bonnie was a beautiful soul inside and out! I had the privilege of baby sitting her when I was in my teens. She would have been 6-8 back then. Bonnie was always on the go and would love to have me pay attention and watch her as she demonstrated a new skill or talent she had learned. My mom always welcomed her to dinner, lunch, and even breakfast! (Bonnie was an early riser.) She came over often to play with my younger siblings. I learned to appreciate her way of doing things and doing things her way. Always kind and loving to others. You will be missed Bonnie! Much love to Michelle and Ruth.
