BROC KELSON Obituary

Broc Wade Kelson 1990 ~ 2010 Broc Wade Kelson, born March 15, 1990 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Death August 29, 2010, in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Moved to Lake Havasu City in 2009. Survived by his parents Wade and Carrie Kelson of Lake Havasu, brother Casey, sisters Randee and Frankie Kelson and grandparents Frank and Teddy Kelson, Tisa and Mike Briggs and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him. Broc was loved by everyone who knew him, especially his family. He would have protected them with his life. Loyal beyond words, gentle without fault, Broc was everyone's hero. He will never be forgotten for the tender care of his family and friends. A peacemaker, Broc was fun-loving, and optimistic. He was intelligent and compassionate, never wanting anyone to be unhappy. He lived life to the fullest, giving his all at everything he did. As family and friends have gathered, these words were used to describe Broc-hard-working, caring, tender, selfless, family-oriented, charming, champion in all, quick to smile, creative, respectful, truthful, passionate, not shy, artistic, and extremely loving. Famous for his witty remarks, Broc could often be heard saying, "Don't wanna' be negative," and "There you go again, Dad, crossing the line thinkin' it's the finish line." Broc was known by "Hey kid," "Dutch Boy," "Dennis the Menace," and many other "unmentionable" names. He had a passion for boating, cars, and laughing. Broc was a dreamer, always looking to the clouds for his next adventure and making things happen. We know you're doin' it BIG, Broc. Keep goin' the distance! Broc's motto: Stand strong in the storms of life, the sun will always shine on you. Funeral Services will be held at the LDS chapel at 510 North Acoma in Lake Havasu, Arizona, on Friday, September 3rd at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. An Open House celebration for Broc will be held in Salt Lake City Friday, September 10th. A Memorial Fund has been set up in Broc Kelson's name at any Wells Fargo Bank.

To our very dear friends, the Kelson family. You have such a strong and wonderful family. I am thankful to know each and every one of you. This loss is beyond words. I truly hope that enough of Broc will have rubbed off on us to make us happier and better people. We will all continue to need each other to lean on when we are sad, but just thinking of Broc (and all his antics) will always bring a smile to our faces.

Love always,

Dear Kelson Family,
It is with great saddness that we learned of Broc's tragic passing. We wish to extend our deepest love and sympathy to you as you go through this horrific loss.
I first met Broc when Frank would bring him to activities in our ward. He was always so friendly, appreciative....You could tell that the twinkle in his Grandpa's eye was from being with his buddy Broc. I soon learned that his hero was his Dad. He was a bright and kind young man.
We know that we can not remove the heavy burden of grief you are experiencing at this time of infinite loss, but we hope that our thoughts and prayers will help to lighten the load you bear.
With love and respect,
Dee and Tami Young

Broc "thats what Im talkin bout" Kelson,
It was a pleasure to have you join us on the BIG WAVE! Always so willing to help even when I ask you (as a joke) to clean the toilets! You did it with a smile on your face and you did an excellent job! We will remember your bike/wakeboard contraption with the cheesy orange vest wrapped around it so it wouldnt sink! & sharpie tatoo's! so many good memories!

To Brocs family, be assured Broc was a gentleman, a great friend & a silly clown! may your memories give you comfort at this most difficult time! You are in our hearts!

Wade, Carrie and family
My heart broke when I heard the news on Saturday. As of writing this I am still in such shock of what has happened. My heart goes out to you in every way imaginable.

I too know the pain of loosing a son. You know this because you were there when it happened. This has brought back some very intense emotions from that very day.

There are know words to describe what you are feeling at this time but know one things for sure. He is still with you, and he will always be with you.

Lean on your family and friends, they want to be here for you. I too will be here when you need someone to talk to.

I am so very sorry for your loss.. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this incredibly challenging time.
