Marilyn,
So many memories of Tyler and CJ. They and Zac were inseparable, in fact, I believe CJ was one of Tyler and David's first friends after we moved to Draper. He was truly one of the sweetest, kindest, happiest guys. I know he will live on in the hearts of his friends and family.

I love to see these pictures of Cj. He truly had the most "smiley" eyes. The biggest smile and even bigger hugs. I have many many memories of my youth and high school days with him. Marilyn...I heard CJ speak on so many occasions of his absolute unconditional love for you. You were a light in his life! May you be wrapped in peace and love and comfort and beautiful memories. Till we meet again CJ...rest in peace with the Angels. Much love from our hearts to yours... David and Morgan Anger

Marilyn and Family,
It has been years since I left the Salt Lake Valley for Idaho but news travels fast. I answered the phone to hear, "Coach, Coach this is Tyler Anger..." with great difficulty he told me of CJ's passing. Marilyn, my heart is breaking for you, I know in a small way how you love him. He brought all of us incredible moments of joy when his number was called. You will remember it as the 43 cross. He scored many a touch down from that simple play and always showed up big time on game day. I know that there were times that I required a lot from him, especially during practice, which amused him at times...but was he ever a game day player. He along with his team mates afforded me some of my most treasured memories. My regret is that I didn't stay in touch with him, he was a special friend, I loved him like one of my own. I know that he is in a good place and that he has had a chance to greet those who have preceded him, they have welcomed him home. CJ, thanks for the memories my friend, until we meet again... When I saw the FB thread of a friend that was lost I couldn't believe it. It never gets easy hearing of a friend that has passed. CJ was always one that could be found in the halls at school with a smile on his face. He welcomed all with a hug. And was the last one to judge anyone, he accepted all. Even after school, when I would run into him, he would still stop and "check in" and we would catch up. He is a friend that will never be able to be replaced. He impacted so many peoples lives in a positive way. My heart, thoughts, and prayers, go out to the rest of his friends and to his family. He was an amazing man and will be greatly missed.

Miss Mar,
Word will not be able to express how I am feeling and just how much I truly love CJ and his Mama. As others have stated, he gave great hugs. I was the recipient of at least one of those. May you and Scott and CJ's siblings feel the warmth of those hugs every time a hug is needed and wanted.

Love you all!

I don't know that I can share just one experience as there are way too many. I will say that CJ was the one person I could always count on and he was the first one there for me during my numerous season ending injuries in high school. I say numerous because there were many, but without fail no matter what, CJ always found me, didn't say a word but walked up and gave me a big hug. With all the turmoil going on and how much pain I was in the one thing I remember are those hugs. CJ always did whatever he could to make those around him feel better. As he said he was the realist, he truly was one of the most real people that I've ever met. CJ and I went our separate ways after high school and lost touch until a few years ago when I saw him and when I did, nothing had changed, he was the same guy I had always known and loved. I wish like so many others have stated that I would have never lost touch with him, he truly was one of a kind. I send my deepest condolences, if there is anything I can do for the family please let me know, I love and miss you as well Marilyn.

This was the last night the 3 of us were together. I'll never forget it. You had a heart of Gold Cal. #gonebutneverforgotten
