August 15, 1945 - January 15, 2021

Salt Lake City, UT—Mom passed away peacefully on January 15, 2021 at home surrounded by the love of her daughter and two dogs Cooper and Max after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 15, 1945 to Teddy and Dorothy Hockett.

Mom was an amazing lady full of love, compassion and fire. She always put others before herself and was accepting of anyone. She loved to hug and everyone is going to miss those great loving hugs. Mom's greatest joy in life were her Grandkids and Great Grandkids her eyes would light up when she talked about them, and of course her dogs Cooper and Max, and like the grandkids they weren't spoiled at all!

She is survived by her daughter Shauna (Brent) Moosman, 2 grandkids Todd (Alisha) Moosman and Tyson (Taylor) Moosman and 2 great grandkids Ledger and Oliver Moosman. Proceeded in death by her son David Jay Elmer, her parents, and siblings. Due to COVID restrictions a small celebration of life was observed on January 17, 2021.

Condolences to the family and friends. Carol was a lovely lady and had a great sense of humor. We always laughed at each other’s jokes. She will be missed. RIP my friend. Becky C.

She was a sweet lady. We were in the same 6th grade classroom, and we went to the same high school. She was shy but always pleasant and she had a swell smile. Condolences to her family. Bob Poulton

She was such a sweet person, I met her af the El Farol meetings years ago and she always remembered me even when I hadn’t been around for a long time. So sorry for your loss.
